The pandemic in which we live has generated new halacha. Join Rabbi Deborah Silver and Rabbi Josh Pernick for three sessions based around the most current approaches to COVID via Zoom: Jan 17th - If I Am Not For Myself... We will explore whether each of us is obligated to take the vaccination when offered. Does Jewish law provide we must do so, or is it up to the individual to decide? This session will be co-led by Rabbi Gary Gerson and Dr. Carol Gerson, along with Rabbi Josh and Rabbi Silver. Jan 24th - If I Am Only For Myself... We will address the challenging question of triage. Who should get the vaccine first, and why? What are the criteria for deciding? Jan 31st - If Not Now… How should we mark the moment of getting the vaccine? We will explore kavvanot and blessings old and new.
