In this four-part series, we will be exploring some of the more unusual Jewish rituals, paying particula attention to rituals typically performed around the High Holiday season. Among the rituals to be dissected are tashlich, shlogn kapores (waving chickens over our heads), Simchat Beit Hashoeva (water drawing ceremony) and whacking willows on Hoshana Rabba.
